Description

This dataset provides a bibliographic compilation of research articles focused on the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) and digital technologies in smart packaging systems for the food industry. The data was extracted from two major research databases, Scopus and Web of Science, and merged using Bibliometrix in R Studio to provide a comprehensive overview of relevant literature in the field. The dataset includes metadata such as paper titles, authors, publication dates, DOIs, and key themes such as food safety, packaging innovations, and the role of IoT in improving food traceability and minimizing waste. This dataset is valuable for researchers and practitioners interested in exploring advancements in smart packaging systems, the role of sensors and digital technologies, and the challenges faced in adopting IoT solutions within the food supply chain. It offers a robust starting point for conducting systematic reviews, bibliometric analyses, and further research into the emerging field of digital food packaging.
