The results revealed that SA and SP induced a DNA damage derived repair response by activating HDAC6/KAP1/E2F1 pathway and arrested primary SHED cells at the G2/M cycle phase by inhibiting the activity of the Cdc25A/Cdc2 pathway. Moreover, HDAC6 was found combined with KAP1 and regulated the expression level of KAP1/E2F1 pathway negatively. Upregulation of HDAC6 inhibited the expression of KAP1 and E2F1 and activated Cdc25A/Cdc2 pathway, attenuated G2/M cycle arrest in primary SHED cells.
