Online destination´s popularity and COVID-19

Data mainly merging two datasets: Google Destination Insights and Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT). From Google Destination Insights was collected a daily index for bilateral online travel searches, while from OxCGRT was collected a daily index measuring the overall governments responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. This daily indices were transformed into monthly indices to match data for GDP per capita and exchange rate collected from the International Monetary Fund website. The data was extracted from January 2020 to September 2022 to build an unbalanced panel data set for 13 origin countries and 26 destination countries.
