The dataset contains detailed information on the media coverage of specific natural disasters, including the 1974, 1976, and 1998 earthquakes, as well as the 2023 flood, as reported in Delo newspaper, Ljubljana, Slovenia. It includes data on the number of articles published over a 180-day period following each disaster event. This dataset provides a comprehensive view of how media coverage of natural disasters evolves over time, both in terms of frequency and prominence. Key features of the dataset: Date: The specific date of publication for each article. Number of Articles: The number of articles published on that day related to the disaster. Average Page Number: The average page number where articles were published, indicating the prominence of the topic in the newspaper. Article Page Numbers: The specific page numbers of up to three articles published on each day. Days Between Articles: The number of days between consecutive articles related to the disaster, showing how coverage frequency changes over time. Persistence on Front Page: Indicates whether the topic appeared on the front page, highlighting the ongoing visibility of the disaster in the media.
