This study utilized data from the **Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021 database** to assess the **global, national, and regional burden** of depressive disorders among individuals aged **15–39 years** from **1990 to 2021**. Key metrics analyzed included **incidence rates**, **disability-adjusted life years (DALYs)**, and the contributions of various **risk factors** to DALYs. All incidence and DALY rates were standardized per **100,000 population** and reported with **95% uncertainty intervals (UIs)**. Additionally, the study projected the burden of depressive disorders up to **2050** using **Bayesian age–period–cohort (BAPC) modeling**.
