Description

This dataset supports the findings reported in the manuscript entitled "Nonlinear responses of soil enzyme kinetics to nitrogen additions in Larix principis-rupprechtii plantation of North China". It contains three CSV files describing soil physicochemical properties, soil extracellular enzyme kinetic parameters, and microbial phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) profiles under seven nitrogen-addition treatments (N0, N5, N10, N20, N40, N80, and N160). The soil physicochemical dataset includes pH, soil water content (SWC), soil organic matter (SOM), total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), ammonium nitrogen (NH4+-N), nitrate nitrogen (NO3--N), available phosphorus (AP), and total and available iron and molybdenum. The enzyme kinetics dataset contains the maximum reaction velocity (Vmax), Michaelis constant (Km), and catalytic efficiency parameter (Kcat) of β-glucosidase (BG), acid phosphatase (ACP), and β-1,4-N-acetylglucosaminidase (NAG). The PLFA dataset contains sample-level measurements of bacterial, fungal, actinomycete, Gram-positive bacterial, Gram-negative bacterial, and total PLFA abundances, together with the Gram-positive to Gram-negative bacterial ratio (G+/G−) and fungal to bacterial ratio (F/B). These data support the evaluation of soil biochemical and microbial responses to nitrogen addition.
