This dataset contains the raw and processed experimental data supporting the manuscript "Unraveling Microporosity in Hard Carbons: Insights into Sustainable Sodium-Ion Battery Materials" . The dataset includes: SAXS data (raw intensity profiles, in ASCII format) BET surface area measurements Raman spectroscopy data X-ray diffraction (XRD) data Helium pycnometry results Excel file used for the processing and analysis of the SAXS results All experimental data are provided in standard formats (ASCII and Excel), allowing direct access and further analysis.

Steps to reproduce

The SAXS raw data (in ASCII format) can be analyzed using standard small-angle scattering software (e.g., SASfit, Irena, or custom scripts). The Excel file contains the data processing and calculations used to obtain the SAXS-derived structural parameters, following the Ruland–Smarsly fluctuation-corrected approach. BET surface areas were obtained through CO$_2$ adsorption measurements and analyzed according to the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) theory. Raman spectra were deconvoluted into D, G, and other characteristic bands using standard Lorentzian/Gaussian fitting methods. XRD patterns were fitted using the Bragg equation and Scherrer analysis for crystallite size determination. Helium pycnometry measurements were used to determine true densities. No proprietary software is required; all data can be processed with commonly available scientific tools.
