Description

A dataset on phase-change behavior in latent heat storage systems. It presents experimentally validated 3-D CFD simulation data generated using ANSYS Fluent with the enthalpy–porosity method, where the mushy-zone constant is varied from 10³ to 10¹⁰ kg·m⁻³·s⁻¹ to study its influence on melting. The dataset includes melt fraction evolution, temperature histories, melting time, and Carman–Kozeny term values. Organized into case-wise folders and a consolidated CSV file, it supports validation, benchmarking, parametric analysis, and machine-learning applications while ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of numerical latent heat storage research results.
