Total hydrogen ion scale pH and aragonite saturation state along the 147°E (21-39°N) section in the western North Pacific in August 2018. Seawater aragonite saturation state and total hydrogen ion scale pH values were calculated from the concentrations of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, temperature, salinity, phosphate, silicate and pressure data using the CO2SYS.xls program (Version 24). The anthropogenic CO2 value in subsurface water below 100 m was calculated using the TrOCA method (Touratier et al., 2007).
