Description

This dataset contains questionnaire responses measuring students’ collaboration skills in vocational education. The data were collected from students enrolled in Grade XI Computer and Network Engineering (Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan/TKJ) classes. The dataset consists of 113 student respondents from three classes: XI TKJ 1, XI TKJ 2, and XI TKJ 3. The questionnaire was administered to students in experimental and control groups as part of an educational research study examining collaboration skills. The dataset contains responses to 20 questionnaire items, with each item scored using a four-point response scale. A total collaboration score was calculated for each respondent based on their responses to the 20 items. The dataset includes respondent identification numbers, class information, questionnaire item scores (Q1–Q20), and the total collaboration score. For research analysis, the respondents are also categorized into two groups: Group 1 (experimental group) and Group 2 (control group). There are 58 respondents in Group 1 and 55 respondents in Group 2. The dataset can be used to examine students’ collaboration skills, compare collaboration scores between experimental and control groups, and support statistical analyses in educational research. It may also be useful for researchers investigating collaborative learning, vocational education, student competencies, and the development of 21st-century skills. The dataset is provided in Microsoft Excel format (.xlsx). Researchers using this dataset should consider the educational context, sample characteristics, questionnaire design, and scoring procedure when interpreting the results.

The data were collected through a structured questionnaire designed to measure students’ collaboration skills in vocational education. The respondents were Grade XI students enrolled in the Computer and Network Engineering (Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan/TKJ) program at a vocational high school. Data collection involved students from three Grade XI classes, namely XI TKJ 1, XI TKJ 2, and XI TKJ 3. The respondents were categorized into two groups, consisting of 58 students in Group 1 and 55 students in Group 2, resulting in a total of 113 respondents. The questionnaire consisted of 20 statements representing indicators of students’ collaboration skills. Each statement was answered using a four-point Likert-type response scale. Before completing the questionnaire, the students were provided with an explanation of the purpose of the data collection and instructions for completing the questionnaire. The questionnaire was completed individually by each respondent based on their own experiences and perceptions related to collaboration during learning activities. After the questionnaires were completed, the responses were collected and entered into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for data processing. Each respondent was assigned an identification number, and the responses to the 20 questionnaire items were recorded as individual variables (Q1–Q20). A total collaboration score was subsequently calculated for each respondent based on the item responses. The resulting dataset was organized into respondent-level records and categorized according to the corresponding group and class. The dataset was then prepared for statistical analysis to examine students’ collaboration skills and to compare the results between the two groups. No personally identifying information is required for the analysis. For public data sharing, respondent identities should be anonymized using unique respondent identification codes.
