The respective data article (data in brief article) subsumes the data acquiration process, analysis and results of ‘Circulating tumor DNA correlates with tumor burden and predicts outcome in pancreatic cancer irrespective of tumor stage’ published in European Journal of Surgical Oncology (Eur J Surg Oncol. 2021 Dec 1:S0748-7983(21)00947-1. doi: 10.1016/j.ejso.2021.11.138. PMID: 34876329). Bilirubin and its association with conventional tumor markers (CEA and CA 19-9) and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) has been added in the revised raw data set. There was no association/bias to CEA, CA 19-9 or ctDNA.
