This dataset contains city-level panel data for 331 Chinese cities during 2000–2020. It includes the urban green finance index, green patent application indicators, and related city-level control variables used to examine the relationship between green finance development and green innovation. The dataset was compiled from official statistical publications, government reports, and patent records.
