Description

This model illustrates the intermediate anatomical configuration of the superior cavopulmonary connection, derived from the analysis of 29 patients. This anatomical configuration results from the bidirectional Glenn procedure, performed in pediatric patients with congenital heart diseases such as hypoplastic left heart syndrome, tricuspid atresia, right heart hypoplasia, among others. Alongside the STL file, an Excel file is also provided containing anonymized clinical and anatomical data for the 29 patients, allowing further analysis and study.

Steps to reproduce

To obtain the final average template from the 29 patients, cardiac magnetic resonance images (MRIs) of each patient were first used. After segmenting the region of interest for each patient, a preprocessing step was performed to ensure the surface was as clean as possible for statistical shape modeling. For this, we used Deformetrica, where after setting four relevant parameters, we finally obtained the final template. The attached Excel file was used to carry out the subsequent statistical analysis of the study.
