Description

This dataset contains primary survey data collected from public health students enrolled in public and private universities in Bangladesh. Data were collected through both online and physical survey methods from universities offering Public Health and related academic programs. The dataset examines Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) adoption and its relationship with academic learning and research capability, while also considering AI literacy and AI dependency. It includes demographic characteristics, GenAI usage patterns, and responses to validated construct items measured using a five-point Likert scale ranging from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree. The dataset contains 580 valid responses and is suitable for quantitative analysis, including Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).

Steps to reproduce

Identify public and private universities in Bangladesh offering Public Health and related academic programs. Develop and distribute the structured questionnaire among eligible public health and related-discipline students. Collect responses through both online and physical survey methods. Obtain informed consent from participants before participation. Screen the collected responses and retain valid and complete responses for analysis. Code demographic, GenAI usage, and five-point Likert-scale responses according to the questionnaire structure. Organize the constructs into AI Adoption (AIA1–AIA5), Academic Learning (AL1–AL6), Research Capability (RC1–RC8), AI Literacy (AIL1–AIL5), and AI Dependency (AID1–AID5). Analyze the dataset using appropriate statistical methods, including reliability and validity assessment and PLS-SEM.
