Description

This study highlights the role of strategic communication in preserving and reviving traditional Indonesian music amid the challenges of globalization and digitalization, particularly among the younger generation. The study analyzes the impact of top-down (institutional) and bottom-up (community and digital) communication strategies on young people's engagement with traditional music. The data is raw material for manuscript entitled "Melodic Legacies: The Implementation of Communicating Sustainability in Intergenerational Indonesian Traditional Music". In conclusion, the sustainability of traditional music is not merely about preserving the past but also about conveying its meaning in ways that are relevant to current and future generations.
