Can four-quadrant transversus abdominis plane block and needle electrical twitch and intramuscular electrical stimulation provide more effective analgesia in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy? This prospective, single-blinded, randomized controlled trial revealed that four-quadrant transversus abdominis plane block and needle electrical twitch and intramuscular electrical stimulation provide more effective analgesia and increased functional recovery than local wound infiltration in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy. Our findings support the implementation of these procedures in the enhanced recovery after surgery pathways for patients undergoing open PD. This is the data file for this investigation.
