Description

This archive replicates the main findings from the paper Inhoffen, Siemroth, Zahn (2017): Minimum prices and social interactions: Evidence from the German renewable energy program accessible at https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2796130. For replication, execute the main file "Main_file.do" in Stata (tested in version 14) with the current settings. This triggers the entire procedure, including the pre-processing, the matching routine and the analysis. Change the corresponding settings to run the robustness checks or to run the analysis with a slightly different matching routine. Note that running the entire procedure takes a long time, in our case slightly more than two hours, since the matching is done in a loop. Once the matched dataset is created, the analyses in do-file 3_1 can be run quickly.
