Extended Data for the paper Prebilaterian Origin of Monoaminergic Signalling. Folders as follows: Bionformatic_data: This database contains the extended data S1 to S8 as described in the paper. Mass spectrometry folder: The file "20240108_45mix_20000" corresponds to the monoamine standard mixture used as the reference for the identification of phenethyltamine, tryptamine and tyramine. The placozoan sample file "20240409_sample2_placo_spl9" was used for: - Figure S6: detection of 2-phenylethylamine, m/z 122 - Figure S6: detection of tyramine, m/z 138 The placozoan sample file "20240411_sample2_placo" was used for: - Figure S6: detection of tryptamine, m/z 161 RAW files contain the original vendor mass spectrometry data. mzML files are open-format conversions of the same runs for accessibility and reuse. Raw videos folder: Videos supporting the C. elegans tdc-1 complementation assays. The folder contains behavioural recordings of wild-type N2 animals, tdc-1(n3419) mutants lacking functional tdc-1, and independent transgenic rescue lines generated in the tdc-1(n3419) mutant background. IRH124 and IRH126 correspond to independent lines expressing the C. elegans tdc-1 construct under the endogenous tdc-1 promoter and were used as positive complementation controls. IRH127 and IRH128 correspond to independent lines expressing the Trichoplax adhaerens AADC construct under the C. elegans tdc-1 promoter and were used to test whether the placozoan enzyme can complement the mutant phenotype. All transgenic lines include myo-2p::GFP as a co-injection marker.
