Description

This directory includes all code and model input data for the computational case study presented in "Performance of Benders algorithm for different decompositions of large-scale energy system expansion models". The data in directory "core/model_input_data" is already prepared and ready to use for the main scripts solving the optimization models. Running the "dataprep.py" script is therefore not necessary. It is still included here for transparency. Model input data are based on data created with the open-source software PyPSA-eur (Brown, T., Victoria, M., Zeyen, E., Hofmann, F., Neumann, F., Frysztacki, M., Hampp, J., Schlachtberger, D., Hörsch, J., Schledorn, A., Schauß, C., van Greevenbroek, K., Millinger, M., Glaum, P., Xiong, B., Seibold, T., . PyPSA-Eur: An open sector-coupled optimisation model of the European energy system. URL: https://github.com/PyPSA/pypsa-eur) All code has been run in Python 3.12, with the package requirements defined in the requirements.txt. All models have been solved using Gurobi 11.0.3.
