Himpich et al deposited data
Description
Himpich et al explored an uncharacterized bacterial defense system named Druantia type III-A to understand its phage spectra and determinants and its molecular mechanism with the assumption that it interacts with DNA, based on the bioinformatic prediction of the druE gene. They propose a molecular mechanism for the bacterial defense system Druantia III-A based on their structural and enzymatic activity description on the DNA helicase DruE and its role in the immunity phenotype against double strand DNA phages sensitive to Restriction-Modification system. This Mendeley reports all pre-analyzed data for the paper "A compact Druantia defense clears phage infections via single-stranded DNA recognition and directional duplex unwinding" and was organized by Figures and Supplementary Figures for the data organization.
