MCRS-TR
Description
Studies related to mindfulness in couple relationships are increasing. However, these studies tend to overlook the multi-dimensional component of mindfulness. The assessment of relational mindfulness with various components may provide important benefits for researchers and couples. The aim of this study was to adapt the multi-dimensional and context-specific the Mindfulness in Couple Relationships Scale to a Turkish sample and to test its psychometric properties. The research sample consists of 355 participants from Turkey. Participants’ age ranged from 18 to 63. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis confirm the eight-factor structure, which is consistent with the original scale. The MCRS demonstrated good internal consistency (α= .90; ω= .91). Correlation analysis indicated that the MCRS was positively related to trait mindfulness and relationship quality. The MCRS is a valid and reliable assessment tool in a Turkish sample to measure different components of mindfulness in couple relationships.
