Description

Varietal Dataset of Brinjal (Eggplant) from Eastern Uttar Pradesh, India is reported here. This species can be used as an important vegetable for kitchen garden and nutrition security. Data were collected through direct observation, field visits and surveys and also by cultivation in experimental field. Data regarding local distribution were collected from extensive field survey while national and global distribution were collected from literature and distribution maps were developed accordingly. The data can be used for breeding and crop improvement program, conservation and local food and nutrition security.
