Simulation data for an alternative model of elves explaining elves doublets and triplets. According to the model, the second elves ring is created by the effects of the return stoke current wave attenuation with height and/or the deposition of the charges modeled by the upper absorbing boundary condition. The data show the simulated normalized electric fields and the emission rates.
