For the maps elaboration and the satellite images processing, the free software Qgis®3.16 was used. The satellite images were submitted to a pre-processing routine with atmospheric correction, georeferencing in UTM projection; DATUM - SIRGAS 2000; Zone 22S, and histogram analysis for contrast enhancement. The combination 321-RGB from CBERS-4A WPM images and 432-RGB from Landsat 8 OLI images was selected. To improve the quality of the spatial resolution, a fusion with the panchromatic band was made. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) were generated from Landsat 8 spectral data. The NDVI defines the vegetation cover calculated by the ratio between the difference in visible (band 4 – red) and near-infrared (band 5) reflectance by their sum. The NDWI detects the water presence calculated by the ratio between the difference in near-infrared and visible (band 3 – green) reflectance by their sum. To extract geomorphological information and highlight coastal features, the DSM from SRTM data was used. Maps of altitude, slope, and aspect were generated, and RGB composition was performed by combining these three maps.
