IDF EnergyPlus files of an existing Danish apartment block and eight retrofit scenarios

Description

This data provides nine detailed EnergyPlus files of an existing four-story apartment block located in Aarhus, Denmark. The third floor is modelled, which consist of five stairwells and ten apartments. The files can be used for building performance simulation and co-simulation with the building controls virtual test bed. The data contains IDF EnergyPlus files [3] of the third floor of an existing Danish four-story apartment block and eight retrofit scenarios. The block was built in 1978 and has only undergone minor refurbishments since then. The floor consists of five stairwells and ten apartments: one 1-room apartment (Apt. 9), four 3-room apartments (Apt. 1, 3, 5 and 7) and five 4-room apartments (Apt. 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10) with east-west oriented facades where the west oriented facades has unheated balconies. The stairwells and apartments were modelled as individual thermal zones with adiabatic horizontal surfaces (floor and roof). The stairwells are kept at a minimum temperature of 15°C.
