Description

This dataset contains driving factor data for land use/cover change (LUCC) simulation in the Tarim River Basin, China. All data are in GeoTIFF format at 1 km spatial resolution. Natural factors: elevation (DEM), slope, aspect (resampled from 90-m DEM via bilinear interpolation), mean annual temperature, annual precipitation (synthesized from monthly data), and soil type. Socioeconomic factors: GDP, population density (spatialized from RESDC), nighttime light (NPP-VIIRS), and distances to roads, railways, and water bodies (calculated using Euclidean distance tool in ArcGIS 10.8). All rasters were clipped to the Tarim River Basin boundary and projected to WGS 1984 / Albers Equal Area Conic (central meridian 87°E). These data are suitable for LUCC modeling, landscape ecological risk assessment, and ecological security pattern research in arid regions.

Steps to reproduce

(1) Acquire raw data from respective sources (DEM from Geospatial Data Cloud, meteorological data from National Tibetan Plateau Data Centre, socioeconomic data from RESDC, vector data from National Geomantic Centre). (2) Resample DEM from 90 m to 1 km via bilinear interpolation in ArcGIS. (3) Synthesize monthly temperature and precipitation data into annual means. (4) Spatialize GDP and population density to 1 km resolution. (5) Calculate Euclidean distances to roads, railways, and water bodies. (6) Unify all rasters to WGS 1984 / Albers Equal Area Conic projection. (7) Clip all data to the Tarim River Basin boundary for LUCC modeling.
