Description

This dataset accompanies a study examining how eye-controlled interaction and attentional anchors influence psychological and prefrontal responses during VR mindfulness meditation. It contains de-identified behavioral and psychological measures, experimental variables, and selected derived fNIRS measures used in the reported analyses. Raw fNIRS recordings are not publicly shared due to participant-consent, ethical, and data-protection restrictions.

The experiment comprised four stages. First, participants underwent anxiety induction to enter an anxious state. Second, we recorded resting-state fNIRS data and administered the STAI-S to assess baseline state anxiety. Third, participants completed the VR Mindfulness Meditation session. Finally, we repeated the resting-state fNIRS recording and STAI-S assessment to measure changes in state anxiety after the intervention.
