Description

The topic covered in this paper deals with different approaches in treatment of impacted maxillary central incisors. There is a number of different methods of treatment of impacted incisors and the results are very technique-sensitive. As the anterior region is very esthetically important, a special care must be taken in such cases. The aim was to introduce our approach, which, as we believe, may prove beneficial for patients with this particular diagnosis. It compares esthetic results of a group where surgical uncovering followed by closed eruption technique with palatally bonded attachement and a groups where spontaneous eruption occured after space opening. To our knowledge no study has thusfar shown results of the approach presented in the presented paper.
