Description

The purpose of this package is to facilitate the replication of the results presented in the paper. The data on supply chain risk and city-level control variables are obtained from the China National Research Data Service (CNRDS) platform. Information on digital assets, firm-level financial metrics, and industry characteristics is sourced from the China Stock Market & Accounting Research Database (CSMAR). Global supply chain data are drawn from the FactSet Revere database. These databases are subscription-based commercial databases, and their raw data cannot be freely distributed. Therefore, due to licensing restrictions, we are unable to share the raw firm-level data used in the analysis. To address this issue, we provide the processed datasets sufficient to replicate all baseline and robustness regressions. Full replication of the paper requires access to these databases through the relevant institutions, or the use of alternative open sources with comparable microeconomic data.
