Brinjal (Eggplant) or Solanum melongena Leaf Disease Image Dataset
Description
The Brinjal (Eggplant) Leaf Disease Dataset was created to support research in plant disease detection using machine learning and deep learning techniques. It consists of six categories:Alternaria leaf spot, Cercospora leaf spot , Downy meldew, Powdery mildew ,Phomopsis Blight and Healthy. Data were collected from several places in Meherpur,Joypurhat,Savar & Dhaka ,Bangladesh, between March and May 2025. Brinjal leaves were photographed individually under natural daylight conditions using Smartphones, capturing multiple angles and perspectives to ensure diversity in lighting, leaf orientation, and texture. Multiple images of the same leaf were captured when necessary to account for variations in illumination and shape. . We have total 3000 high resolution images. And every class has 500 data including healthy class also.

Steps to reproduce
Each image was manually labeled according to its disease category by research assistants, and the labels were verified by an agricultural expert to ensure accuracy. Only high-quality images were retained; duplicates, blurred, or poor-quality images were removed. All images were saved in JPG format. By following these procedures like careful field collection, expert labeling that other researchers can reliably reproduce the Brinjal Leaf Disease Dataset or extend it with additional images collected under similar conditions. This workflow ensures transparency, reproducibility, and usability for future research in plant disease detection and classification.
