Laser ablation ICP-MS analyses on field specimens of Textularia agglutinants collected from the Mediterranean coast of Israel, where this species has recently become extremely abundant. These records were compared to whole test ICP-MS measurements of rotaliid and miliolid taxa from the same sampling sites and periods. In addition, a Mg/Ca temperature calibration was established by LA-ICP-MS analyses of newly added chambers of cultured specimens at different temperatures (15°, 17°, 20°, 25 °C).
