Patient-Level Data from a Systematic Review of Teratoid Wilms Tumor
Description
This dataset contains patient-level clinical, pathological, treatment, and outcome data extracted from published cases of teratoid Wilms tumor (TWT) included in a systematic review of the published literature. The dataset comprises 57 individual patient records and includes demographic characteristics, tumor location and laterality, tumor size, presenting symptoms, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, reported preoperative treatment regimens, primary tumor response, surgical management, histological findings, heterologous elements, tumor stage, follow-up, and reported outcomes. Clinical and pathological information was extracted from the original published reports. Narrative clinical fields are reproduced as reported in the source publications, while derived analytical fields are explicitly identified within the dataset. When information was not available or could not be determined from the original report, it was recorded as not reported (NR). This dataset was developed to support transparency, reproducibility, and further research on the clinical characteristics, treatment patterns, and outcomes of teratoid Wilms tumor.

Patient-level data were extracted from published case reports and case series of teratoid Wilms tumor identified through a systematic review of the literature. Each eligible publication was reviewed individually, and relevant clinical, pathological, treatment, and outcome information was extracted and entered into a standardized patient-level database. Data fields included demographic characteristics, tumor location and laterality, tumor size, presenting symptoms, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, preoperative treatment regimens, primary tumor response, surgical management, histological findings, heterologous elements, tumor stage, follow-up, and outcomes. Information was recorded according to the original published reports. Where necessary, tumor size and other analytical variables were derived from measurements or descriptions provided in the original publications; such fields are identified accordingly in the dataset. When a variable was not reported in the source publication, it was recorded as “NR” (not reported). The resulting dataset was independently reviewed for consistency and used for the quantitative and descriptive analyses reported in the associated systematic review.
