Data for "Future Orientation as a Prospective Bridge to University Students’ Learning Engagement: A Longitudinal Network Study of Temporal Self-Regulation"

This dataset contains de-identified analysis-ready data, codebook files, correlation matrices, network edge-weight matrices, centrality indices, and R code used for the manuscript entitled “Future Orientation as a Prospective Bridge to University Students’ Learning Engagement: A Longitudinal Network Study of Temporal Self-Regulation.” The study examined future self-continuity, multidimensional time perspective, and learning engagement in a two-wave longitudinal sample of Chinese university students.

Steps to reproduce

The dataset contains data1-6,and R scripts used to reproduce the analyses reported in the manuscript. The R scripts should be run in numerical order: 01_Concurrent Network Future Self-Continuity, Learning Engagement.R, 02_.Cross-lagging Future self-continuity, learning engagement. Analyses were conducted in R version [4.3.2]. Required packages include qgraph, bootnet, glmnet, networktools, psych, readxl, openxlsx, and ggplot2.
