Global bilateral grain export volume data

Description

This database provides annual bilateral physical trade flows of grain across countries worldwide. Each observation records the tonnage of grain exported from one exporting country to a specific importing country. The dataset covers major grain commodities and multiple‑year time‑series information, which enables the construction of global trade matrices for MRIO modelling, scenario simulation and food‑security‑related analysis. Note that reporting discrepancies between exporter‑reported and importer‑reported values are common, requiring data pre‑processing and consistency correction before modelling.
