Data for estimating household energy demand and energy efficiency in Spain: natural gas and electricity

Description

This repository contains data for the analysis of household energy demand and energy efficiency in Spain, focusing on natural gas and electricity consumption. The package includes all documentation and the processed datasets required to reproduce the empirical results reported in the manuscript. The code automatically generates all tables and supplementary results included in the paper. The empirical analysis is based on publicly available data obtained from official sources, including the Spanish Household Budget Survey (EPF), Eurostat, the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE), and the Spanish Official State Gazette (BOE). A README file and a Replication Guide are included to facilitate the replication of the empirical results.

Steps to reproduce

Set the Stata working directory to the root folder (EE) of the replication package and run 00_master.do. All datasets, tables, and supplementary results are generated automatically. Please refer to the README and Replication Guide for detailed instructions. Users should be aware that some of the replication files require substantial computation time.
