PR Professionals and Stakeholders/Public Dataset

Description

For increasing the diversity of our survey, we have solicited responses through google Forms, linkedin and personal e-mails. We have requested our known respondents from such sources to forward the survey solicitation email, questionnaire to their contacts. After around four months of continuous follow-up exercises, we have received 320 on-line responses (total for both the datasets). The total numbers of completed sample responses considered for further analysis were 295. Therefore, the response rate was 92.18 percent. Out of 295 sample respondents, 177 subjects (i.e. 60 percent) were male, while 118 (i.e., 40 percent) were female respondents. The average age of the respondents was 34.25 years from both the datasets. In the PR professionals dataset, out of the 95 respondents, 28 people (29.47 percent) of respondents were working as PR executives across various organizations, around 31 people (32.63 percent) were PR managers are rest were a mix of trainees, higher management, social media managers, etc. In the type of organizations, around 67 people (70.52 percent) were from PR agencies. Rest 30 percent were from government organizations, corporations, educational sectors are others. In the stakeholders or public dataset, 69 respondents (34.5 percent) were the internal public, 46 respondents (23 percent) were the media public (Journalists, influencers, etc.), 15 respondents (7.5 percent) were from the Government, 6 respondents (3 percent) were the event sponsors for a PR program. The educational qualifications of the respondents were segregated into masters’ degree, bachelors degree, PhD doctorate and others. Out of the 200 respondents of the stakeholder/public dataset, 103 (51.5 percent) had masters’ degree, 73 respondents (36.5 percent) had bachelor’s degree, 8 respondents( 4 percent) were doctorates and rest were in others category.
