Description

This dataset contains the supplementary materials, indicator matrices, and analytical outputs associated with the doctoral thesis “Synthetic Indicator for Assessing the Integration of Palliative Care into the Colombian Health System”. It includes Delphi-based expert evaluation data, Self-Organizing Map (SOM) results, and the normalized indicators used to construct the Synthetic Index of Palliative Care Integration (SIPCI). All data are anonymized and derived from aggregated institutional or expert sources. The repository also includes methodological appendices, supporting questionnaires, and validation outputs used for reproducibility and transparency of the SIPCI index construction.

Steps to reproduce

This dataset compiles all supplementary materials, indicator matrices, methodological appendices, and analytical outputs associated with the doctoral thesis “Synthetic Indicator for Assessing the Integration of Palliative Care into the Colombian Health System” and its related publications. To reproduce the analytical workflow described across the corresponding articles: 1. Delphi-based indicator evaluation - Consult the supplementary questionnaire to understand the structure of the items evaluated across Delphi rounds. - Use the accompanying tables to follow the evolution of indicator classifications, expert agreement patterns, and qualitative comments provided by participants. - These materials document the decision rules and criteria applied during the Delphi process. 2. Expertise assessment and indicator grouping - The files corresponding to the expertise index and Self-Organizing Map (SOM)–based grouping include summaries of preprocessing steps, input variables, and resulting indicator-to-neuron assignments. - These materials allow users to track how indicators were organized according to expert profile (Strategic vs. Operational) and how groupings informed subsequent analytical stages. 3. Construction and validation of the synthetic index - The indicator matrices, component loadings, representative indicators, and final departmental index scores are provided to enable reconstruction of the Synthetic Index of Palliative Care Integration (SIPCI). - Additional tables document all validation procedures, including robustness assessments, alternative normalization scenarios, internal consistency metrics, and correlation analyses. 4. Systematic review materials - The supplementary files associated with the systematic review include data extraction tables and methodological evaluations used to classify computational and statistical approaches to composite indicators in palliative care, primary health care, and public health. - These materials support transparency in how studies were assessed and how methodological conclusions were derived. All data contained in this repository are anonymized, aggregated, and presented in tabular or documentary form. Together, these files provide full transparency of the analytical workflow applied in the Delphi study, the expertise-stratified indicator grouping, the construction and validation of the SIPCI index, and the methodological synthesis of the systematic review.
