Files

Steps to reproduce

Data collected through acoustic monitoring of bat activity at different agricultural crop sites. 1) File: Razgour_etal26_agri_bats_dataset.csv Description: A .csv file containing the data collected from the sampled agricultural fields on bat acoustic data, site characteristics and wide landscape characteristics around the sites. The following site specific variables are including: site code, sampling date, location (lat, long), crop type grown in the field, field size (meters squared), crop height (cm), agriculture type (organic versus conventional), area type (orchard versus open), altitude, and temperature (day/night average). The following wider landscape variables (1 km buffers around the sampling site) are included: water (distance to nearest water source), artificial light extent, percent urban, forest, crop and orchard cover, and landscape diversity (Shannon Index). The following bat acoustic data are included: species richness (number of species recorded in the site), total bat activity, activity of clutter, edge and open foragers, and activity of individual bat species, Cnephaeus serotinus, Pipipstrellus kuhlii, Pipistrellus pipistrellus, Hypsugo savii, Taphozous perforates, Tadarida teniotis, Myotis species, Miniopterus schreibersii, Otonycteris hemprichii, Rhinopoma microphyllum, Rhinopoma cystops, Rhinolophus hipposideros, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, Rhinolophus euryale, and Rhinolophus blasii. 2) Nine .csv files containing the results of the statistical model comparison dredge analysis for total bat activity, activity of clutter, edge and open space foragers, activity of Cnephaeus serotinus, Hypsugo savii, Pipistrellus kuhlii and Pipistrellus pipistrellus, and bat species richness.
