Description

This dataset contains patient attributes of individuals in the study cohort. It includes age, sex, diagnosis, dose and duration of penicillin, additional background topical and systemic therapy, subjective and objective information about the disease activity, streptococcal antigens testing information, outcome after treatment with penicillin.

Steps to reproduce

The institutional database at the Advocate Health- Wake Forest University School of Medicine was queried to identify patients with “psoriasis” and “penicillin” between January 1st, 2000, and December 31, 2024. The inclusion criterion was patients >18 years old with psoriasis who received penicillin V potassium (penicillin VK) for psoriasis or other indications. The efficacy of penicillin was assessed retrospectively based on the patient records. The outcome was categorized into three classes: definitive, implied, or no improvement.
