Description

This dataset contains anonymized survey responses from 304 private university students in Bangladesh collected in 2025, examining the relationship between mental health status, academic stress, financial stress, and emotional wellbeing. The dataset consists of 36 structured and textual variables, including demographic attributes, Likert-scale academic and financial stress indicators, and psychometric symptom measures inspired by screening tools such as PHQ-9. In addition, it includes multiple open-ended narrative responses capturing students’ emotional states, coping strategies, academic pressure experiences, and self-perception descriptors, enabling both quantitative statistical analysis and Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications. The data supports research in computational mental-health analytics, sentiment and emotion classification, stress-risk prediction modeling, educational data mining, and AI-assisted early screening systems in higher education. All responses are self-reported and collected voluntarily, and the dataset is intended strictly for research purposes, not clinical diagnosis.
