E-Learning Experience in Mathematics during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Student Survey Dataset
Description
The dataset contains the results of six surveys conducted during the forced transition of universities to e-learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was carried out in March-May 2020. The purpose of the surveys was to determine the preferred styles of e-learning in the discipline "Numerical Methods". The styles of conducting lectures, defending labs and assessing tests were evaluated. Third-year students of mathematical specialties were surveyed (59 people in total). Each survey consisted of a single question (with one or more multiple choice answers). The dataset is presented in two languages - English (E-learning_Methods_Assessment_in_COVID-19_EN.xlsx) and Russian (E-learning_Methods_Assessment_in_COVID-19_RU.xlsx). In both files, the "dataset" sheet contains the results of the survey, and the "variables set" sheet contains descriptions of variables (questions and answer options). Каждый опрос состоял из единственного вопроса (с выбором одного или нескольких вариантов ответа). Набор данных представлен на двух языках – английском (E-learning_Methods_Assessment_in_COVID-19_EN.xlsx) и русском (E-learning_Methods_Assessment_in_COVID-19_RU.xlsx). В обоих файлах на листе "dataset" приведены результаты опроса, на листе "variables set" – описания переменных (вопросы и варианты ответа).
