We developed a novel visible-light-responsive packaging film that can generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) that can inactivate bacteria. Our data shows that the material can inactive both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria under various light intensities effectively, The quantification data also shows the sensitized TiO2 can generate ROS more effectively than the dye sensitizer and TiO2 alone.
