Description

The research study titled "An Exploration of Sustainability and Supply Chain Management Practices in the Oil and Gas Industry: A Systematic Review of Practices and Implications" has collected data from two prominent academic databases, Web of Science and Scopus. Web of Science, a comprehensive citation index, provides data on scholarly articles, conference proceedings, and research papers from various academic disciplines. The data collection involved searching for articles related to sustainability, supply chain management, and the oil and gas industry. The inclusion criteria focused on articles published in the last decade and those that directly discussed or analysed sustainability practices within the oil and gas supply chain. Scopus, another reputable bibliographic database, offers a wide range of scholarly literature, including journals, conference proceedings, and patents. The data collected from Scopus followed a similar process to that of Web of Science, involving keyword-based searches, refinement of search results based on predefined criteria, and selection of relevant articles for the systematic review. The data from both databases provided a comprehensive pool of scholarly articles and research papers related to sustainability and supply chain management practices in the oil and gas industry. These articles covered topics such as environmental impact mitigation, social responsibility, economic viability, and innovative approaches within the context of the oil and gas supply chain. The systematic review aims to synthesize and analyze the findings from the selected articles, highlighting common themes, emerging trends, and implications for sustainable supply chain practices in the oil and gas sector. This approach ensures that the study is grounded in a rigorous analysis of the existing literature and contributes meaningful insights to the field of sustainability and supply chain management in the oil and gas industry.
