Replication Package for "Climate Shocks and Extreme Risk Transmission in the Carbon-Energy Nexus"

This replication package contains all the necessary data, R scripts, and step-by-step instructions to reproduce the tables and figures presented in the manuscript "Climate Shocks and Extreme Risk Transmission in the Carbon-Energy Nexus". The estimation includes the dynamic Peaks-over-Threshold (dPOT) model and the TVP-VAR connectedness approach.

Steps to reproduce

Follow these precise steps to reproduce the findings: Step 1: Download the .zip file from Mendeley Data and extract all contents to a local directory on your computer. Step 2: Open Master.R in RStudio. Step 3: Set your R working directory to the extracted root folder Replication_Package/. (You can do this in RStudio via Session -> Set Working Directory -> To Source File Location). Step 4: Execute the Master.R script from beginning to end.
