Description

The presented compound annotation as well as NMR and high-resolution MS spectra are supplementary file for "Phytochemical analysis and evaluation of antiplasmodial and cytotoxic activities of Wrightia dubia and Wrightia pubescens traditionally used for malaria treatment in Southeast Asia". This dataset was analyzed to annotate compounds in the active extracts of Wrightia dubia and Wrightia pubescens (Tables S1-S3), as well as elucidate one new natural product namely 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)quinazolin-4(3H)-one (Table S4 and Figures S2-S13). The known compounds were elucidated based on comparison with the literature. Nine isolated known compounds included tryptanthrin (Table S5), N-benzoyl-L-phenylalaninol (Table S6), asperphenamate (Table S7), aurantiamide (Table S8), asperglaucide (Table S9), pinoresinol (Table S10), scopoletin (Table S11), aviprin (Table S12), and scoparone (Table S13).

Steps to reproduce

Ten chemical constituents including a new compound were isolated and purified using preparative high-performance liquid chromatography and recycling high-performance liquid chromatography. They were identified unambiguously based on spectroscopic data (NMR and MS). NMR spectra were recorded on a Bruker Ascend™ 600 MHz spectrometer. The LC-ESI-MS were acquired using Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC coupled to a Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Fusion™ Tribrid™ Mass Spectrometer.
