Across three precipitation regions in mature Caragana korshinskii plantations, long-term grazing and pruning had context-dependent effects on understory communities. Diversity and niche breadth declined westward, while beta diversity changed and was dominated by turnover. Spatial stability reflected shifts in Asy and SS, with distinct soil and shrub-structure drivers.
