Description

As urban populations age rapidly, increasing attention has been directed toward the role of urban environments as social and environmental determinants of health. Nevertheless, a substantial gap remains between public health policies and urban planning strategies in addressing the multidimensional needs of older adults. This study aims to investigate how urban open spaces influence the mental, social, and psychological well-being of older adults, while also examining the role of individual characteristics in shaping these perceptions. The study surveyed 180 older adults in Shiraz, Iran.
