Description
This dataset contains the supplementary material for the article “Economic, Operational and Environmental Performance Benchmarking of European Airlines: A Slack-Based DEA Analysis, 2022–2025”. The dataset provides the information used to support the empirical analysis of the economic, operational and environmental performance of 72 European airlines over the 2022–2025 period. The file includes Supplementary Tables S1–S9: DEA variable definitions, the airline sample, the input-output dataset, annual Slack-Based Inefficiency (SBI) results, Super-SBI rankings, complete annual relative rankings, slack and target values, intertemporal inefficiency-change indicators, and CO₂ reduction rankings. The variables include employees, fleet size, operating revenue, flights operated, passengers carried, and CO₂ emissions. CO₂ emissions are treated as an undesirable output in the DEA framework.
