Operational Dataset of Two Commercial Internal Combustion Engine Three-Wheeled Vehicles under Real-World Daily Operating Conditions in Cereté, Córdoba, Colombia

This repository contains a curated operational dataset collected from two commercial Internal Combustion Engine Three-Wheeled Vehicles (ICE-3Ws) operating under real-world conditions in Colombia. The dataset comprises 60 daily operational records, where each observation corresponds to one complete operating day of a single vehicle. The standardized dataset includes measured operational variables describing vehicle activity, including traveled distance, number of stops, moving time, operating hours, and fuel consumption. Additionally, the repository provides a set of derived operational performance indicators, including fuel efficiency, average operating speed, fuel consumption rates, stop-related indicators, and distance-based performance metrics. To ensure transparency and reproducibility, the repository is organized into raw data, processed data, derived data, metadata, quality-control reports, source code, and publication-quality figures. Quality assessment confirmed the absence of duplicate records, missing values, negative values, and physically inconsistent observations. This dataset has been prepared to support research in transportation engineering, vehicle operation analysis, energy consumption, sustainable mobility, commercial fleet management, and statistical analysis of three-wheeled vehicle operational performance.

Steps to reproduce

The repository is organized following a reproducible workflow. Raw operational records are first standardized to generate the processed dataset. Operational indicators are then calculated from the processed data. Quality-control procedures are subsequently applied to verify data consistency, missing values, duplicate records, and variable ranges. Finally, descriptive statistics and publication-quality figures are generated using the scripts provided in the 06_Code directory.
