Ultra-Processed Foods – Exploring Consumer Attitudes and Consumption Behaviour
Description
An online survey was conducted from 7 March to 26 May 2024 using a questionnaire created with Google Forms to assess users’ attitudes toward ultra-processed foods (UPFs) and the factors influencing their consumption behaviour. The survey link was shared via email and social media with partner organisations, resulting in 290 complete responses. A range of classical and modern statistical methods were employed to visualise and analyse the collected data. Participants evaluated their perceptions of UPFs based on criteria such as health consciousness, knowledge of UPFs, subjective norms, and environmental concerns. The respondents’ opinions indicated that knowledge of UPFs, subjective norms, and environmental concerns have statistically significant effects on actual consumption behaviour.
